History - UNiREC & Beyond
Created in 1974 by three teachers with degrees in Recreation and Physical Education – UNiREC quickly became the leader in corporate picnics by developing creative and exciting program of field games & activities and provided an abundance of quality prizes. In just a few short years, UNiREC grew in its scope providing all forms of entertainment, rides, themes, and attractions at the annual company day. To make corporate picnics unique, the team began to devise their own games.
The new millennium – as corporations began experiencing major changes and the concept of team building began to emerge UNiREC created a variety of team building programs to foster spirit, nurture camaraderie, and to encourage the concept of working together as a team. The quality of events and a commitment to first-class service propelled the company as the foremost leader of corporate picnics, team building and entertainment providers for large and small corporations, non-profit organizations, and anyone seeking unique and memorable events.
Ira Almeas, a co-founder of Impact4Good – a CSR teambuilding company with offices throughout the United States, purchased UNiREC with his focus on continuing the success of a teambuilding company built on quality and creativity. “My marketing background and experience building a successful incentive travel and corporate event organization”, explains Ira Almeas, “has allowed me to continue to expand a portfolio of interactive services that enhance attendee’s experiences at corporate-run events”. “Our goal is to support meeting planners, event organizers and hoteliers nationwide with one-stop teambuilding and entertainment support built on trust and creativity.”
TeamUnity will continue to provide similar event services that the founders successfully developed since 1974. The focus will include today’s millennial audience requesting the gamification and inclusion of interactive response technology of activities at events. The TeamUnity team looks forward to customizing a creative teambuilding, corporate picnic or entertainment package.
